    A vluable resource for the aspiring, or improving, portrait painter

    Excellent technical reference book for anyone interested in portraiture in oils. Lots of examples, not just covering portraiture technique, but things like preparing surfaces, brush care and palette selection. This is a fairly substantial book (over 200 pages), and is well printed and bound. Thoroughly recommended.
