DELIGHTED to discover Haynes is still producing manuals!
Bought it for my T4 campervan. The upside: it is easy to locate the source of engine and/or electrical problems in this book and how to rectify them, without necessarily knowing the correct mechanical terminology. There is a useful index and general section about routine maintenance which I found to be a good prompt. The downside: the photographs are in black and white and a little grainy. Also it came as a paperback, not hardback, and overall feels a bit flimsy. That said it fits easily in to the glovebox. I think it could do with a bit of an overhaul to include clearer, colour, photos and diagrams. A version with wipe clean pages would be good for the times you're using whilst it under the bonnet!Bought it for my T4 campervan. As I understand it VW don't do a manual for the T4, consequently this goes somewhere in the right direction. However most of the book is illustrated in photographs and not what you would call HD. It's not always clear to define things when components are displayed dirty. There's nothing better than a good pen and ink diagrammatic illustration but this is not the easy option I suppose regarding cost of production. The quality of the paper used for the pages leaves a lot to be desired, it looks like the cheapest on the market. For the price it's better than nothing, but I also bought a manual for my Morris Minor and this was different again regarding quality. Better paper and illustrations plus also referring more to the 1.9 deisel version would much improve this book, it's no good referring ... It's years since I have needed a Haynes manual and they have always been to the same high standard. The only minor point is this particular one is paperback but this is not an issue for me. It has already come in very handy.

Great manual for the DIY mechanic.
Great manual, shame it's not in hardback though. Clear descriptions of operations and level of difficulty indicators. Shame the quality of the paper it's printed on wasn't better - like it used to be. That all said, I still recommend it to anyone with a T4 who doesn't mind taking on maintenance with their VW.

But Haynes... seriously... phonebook paper and BW pictures? 2017 is here.. Cover is so 70's and you could do better with no effort. And why do I have to buy a book? Something online would be far much better for all.
