A decent vacuum cleaner
I've been using vax vacuums for some time and they are reliable, I bought this thinking it will be the product in the picture, when it arrived it was slightly different, the condition of the product was like new although it was a refurbished. The vacuum has strong suction and a slide near the brush where the suction can be adjusted. The cord can be longer, the pipe is quite short making it hard on stairs as you need to carry the whole vacuum as you clean and the brush is a bit stiff, compared to other models I have, which is not good for some surfaces, like rubber matted areas, but can be for pet hair. The vacuum does have a few attachments that are handy around the home and car. I would recommend the older model than the newer one although its hard to find. Overall its a good vacuum and ... Easily catches things that aren't secured to the floor
Negative is that the hoover has a large void underneath where the roller is and as it is so powerful, it tends to suck things up very easily. Luckily there is a failsafe where the hoover light turns red and switches off. It just means you need to change the adapters often to complete the job. I am sure in time I will get used to it.

It sucks
I was a bit hesitant about buying a discounted "returns" item but it looks as new. I love using it every time from empty to see how much it gets up. The canister is the modern flip open design. I like the nozzle attachment which has a brush attached perfect for skirting boards. The only downside is it's not really suitable for stairs needs a much longer hose and it's too big and heavy to balance on the stairs and go up one by one.
