      Hummingbird feeder or ANT FEEDER? You decide

      I bought these for the "Ant Moat" feature. They are small, plastic, 2 piece units with a screw-in hook. I washed one and filled it with nectar, and hung it. Problem number one: The hummingbirds seemed to have a problem finding the sipping holes, and unless the unit is filled daily, the birds would not be able to reach the nectar with their beaks. Problem number two: The slightest breeze had the feeder swinging in the air, and ready to fall to the ground. Problem number three: That "Ant Moat" feature, which was supposed to keep the ants from the nectar, which was the reason I bought these feeders? Not only was the "Ant Moat" ineffective, it didn't work AT ALL. The feeder was up only a couple of hours and ants were swarming ALL OVER IT, including the little feeding ports, which they loved, ...

      Two for one!

      Seems to be of decent quality. Nice size. Bigger than I was thinking. Lid comes off easier than the one I’m replacing these with. Packaged well. Each feeder came in it’s own box wrapped in plastic. Then those boxes in larger box with air pouches. The outside box had a big crushed area on one corner but it never affected the inside at all!

      Single bird hummingbird feeders

      Great hummingbird feeders for individual bird feeding. Over the years I’ve noticed that when there is more than one bird on my feeder that they chase the others away so I bought these 5oz single feeders and the hummers seem to enjoy them. And with smaller amount of nectar it’s easer to keep it fresh & sweet in hot weather.
