    The story is loosely based upon Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew." Most of his names and titles are in the movie, which introduced actor Heath Ledger to the United States. It is truly a shame that he left us all too early . . .

    10 Things I Hate About You doesn't warn that it's a remake of Taming of the Shrew, but all's well that ends well.

    It's fun to discover how a well-known actor pulled off his first teen romance role. Applause for Heath Ledger as Patrick Verona. You just know he'll be cast again after this job.
