About this product

Product Information

Lucy and Edmund are visiting their odious cousin Eustace and are drawn into the NARNIA world through a picture of a ship at sea, the three children materialise in the ocean close to the pictured vessel and are taken aboard THE DAWN TREADER. Since peace was established in NARNIA, Prince Caspian had undertaken his oath to find the seven lost lords of NARNIA. They find themselves travelling to Lone Islands and Deathwater Island where they discover a pool of water which turns everything immersed in it into gold, including a missing lord. As the DAWN TREADER becomes seaworthy they travel to Dark Island since it is permanently hidden in darkness. During their voyage on the majestic royal vessel they encounter marfolk, dragons, dwarves, sea monsters and a wandering band of lost warriors. As the edge of the world draws near their remarkable adventure at sea sails towards an exciting, yet uncertain conclusion.

    Voyage of the Dawn Trader.

    I loved the stories as a kid, now my grandchildren are enthralled by the trilogy. This part is filled with adventure (and closure)., is well filmed and portrayed. Most excellent family film when watched as part of the 3. Highly recommended cinematic experience.

    Just more Disney

    Good special effects. Unfortunately Disney turns a brilliant story into a cliche action movie. (What's new?) Wooden characters apart from Eustace, whose actor saves the day. The rest is mediocre. Go back to reading the actual books. I was hoping for a good interpretation of much loved book - this wasn't the one, sadly.

    Real escapism

    As ever a great DVD from 20th Century Fox - a hallmark of quality. Probably the best of the Narnia stories and with a familiar cast a feeling of real involvement with the characters. Some excellent effects of course enhanced by faultless audio and resolution. Clarity of diction in delivery is always important and no issues here obviously controlled by skillful mixing. Recently seen on TV, this DVD should be in everyone's library to enjoy again and again.

    Thrilling, Magical, extremely enjoyable. A fantastic film.

    I absolutely loved the film, as a little girl I had the complete set of "The Chronicles of Narnia" and the films so far have been 100% true to the books. More than a fairy tale, these fantasy adventures are thrilling and imaginative. I would love to be in the adventures myself from the very first, "The Magicians Nephew" all the way through to "The Last Battle". I eagerly await the making of the film version of all of the books. Aslan is incredible and very just in the role of God! I hope there are many others who enjoy the films as much as I do.
