About this product

Product Information

In his internet-distributed miniseries DR. HORRIBLE'S SING-ALONG BLOG, Joss Whedon puts his chorus where his comic books are, uniting once and for all his loves of sci-fi and musical theater. Broadway vet Neil Patrick Harris stars as the title's cut rate supervillain, a wannabe who's always one step behind his preening nemesis, Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion). The hero thwarts Dr. Horrible's schemes and courts his dulcet-voiced, do-gooder crush, Penny (Felicia Day), a sad fate the evil doctor laments via blogs and hilarious, brokenhearted ballads. Written by Whedon with his brother, Jed, the show's universally catchy track list strikes the director's trademark balance of snark and earnestness, most notably in Harris's yearning opener "My Freeze Ray" and Fillion's third act show-stopper, "Everyone's a Hero," a spot-on parody of vaunted superhero icons.

    Love this Movie!

This movie is one with Neil Patrick Harris that you must check out if you are a fan of his. It's funny in a corny way and the songs are very catchy!

  • Dr Horrible Sing-Along Blog's a Good Time

Wow - Dr Horrible should be named Doctor Incredible! Originally Director Joss Whedon's internet miracle, this cyber musical has everything you need for a good time. Neil Patrick Harris performs superbly as Dr Horrible and brings all his unique energy to this evil but lovelorn super villain wannabe. Nathan Fillion plays the super (?) hero Captain Hammer who along with being Dr Horrible's nemesis, has an ego that could fill the entire library of Marvel comics. Last but definitely not least, Felicia Day plays Penny who is the ultimate 21st Century, hip Sweet Polly Purebred. The music is incredible and the plot moves along very nicely. If these catchy songs don't win you over immediately, the neato gadgets and adventure will. So grab your Freeze Ray and a medium frozen yogurt and watch ...

  • AMAZING! Highly Recommended!

This is a great movie - even with it's rather short viewing time of a little under an hour. You feel with the characters and will not be disappointed! The songs are very catchy and I find myself singing them all throughout the day! I would recommend this movie over a lot of other ones.. it is my favorite movie right now and I've showed it to all of my friends who also love it! I first saw it on my netflix account and just had to buy it!

  • It's Legend-Wait for it!-dary! XD

Without going into the plot and ruinin it, this is definately amazing. For those nerds out there, you'll recognize actors Joss uses. He made Buffy, and if you've seen the musical episode he did there, you can fully appreciate how well this one is done. Which is to say, the music here is far superior and catchy. Couple this purchase with buying the soundtrack!

  • Singing-along for sure!

This is a very interesting, amusing, thought provoking show. At first it seems very comical and light hearted but the ending has you thinking. The whole movie has very memorable songs and the characters are hilarious. It's a must see. I decided to buy it, even though it's available online for free, because it's one that I wont ever get sick of.
