Fitting a drive belt to an Indesit tumble dryer
This was not an easy task, Indesit could have designed the drive system to make it easier to maintain. I had to remove both side panels and loosen the rear panel to slip on the new belt , past the drum bearing ( regrease it), and use leverage to slip the belt onto the tensioner pulley. No specialist tools required. In total the job took 3 hours to complete. Note these drive belts only just outlast the guarantee period (two years). So always order two drive belts and keep the second one safe until required. This was not an easy task, Indesit could have designed the drive system to make it easier to maintain.
