Good movie, had issues
After receiving the movie and taken it out of its undamaged packaging I found it to shake like a maraca. After I opened it I found small shards of plastic everywhere on the inside. But I just replaced the tape from another vhs and it worked just fine.

Many people have a strong opinion on this film. Some like it. Some hate it. Some may view it as worthy of being put into the National Film Registry. Others say it's unworthy and should have been beaten for Best Picture by Pulp Fiction. You watch and be the judge.

What Can You Say?
We all are very much aware of what an outstanding Actor Tom Hanks is, but this surpasses our previous admiration considerably! He was able to portray a simple, somewhat retarded young man who achieved more in his life than than the average men could. His love for his 'Mama" (Sally Fields must have enjoyed this role!) was more than any Mother could hope her child would have for them throughout their lives. Then there was his love for Bubba, and how he carried out a wish Bubba had for his mama, too was amazing in that no one knew about it but Forrest. His integrity was consistent throughout his life. He was unfailing in his love for 'My Jenny', and the son they created was what held him together when all else fell apart. Gary Senise was a real character as 'Captain Dan', a man from a ... I love the way the beginning of the movie is tied with the end by a simple feather. This is an amazing story, well worth the time. I highly recommend it!

It's In My Top 10 All Time Favorite Movies!
This is a story of tragedies and struggle but also a film of love and encouragement. A simple man with the Midas touch goes through so many of lifes tragedies with love and encouragement. A self made millionaire who finally gets what he wants, the love of his Jenny, only to lose her in the end but appreciates every moment. This movie truly touches the heart.
