My main reason for this purchase was to conserve water. My area it's expensive cost per gallon. It's doing it job as it has reduce the watering schedule times. I still tweaking the watering rate in certain area to really dial it down. I would recommend getting a cheap moisture meter to help. The wireless sensor was a big plus as I have a weather station pole in a full sun that I wanted to attach sensor. It's 250 ft away and is receiving the signal. So far so good.

Hunter wireless rain sensor transmitter had a manufactured date of Mar (20)11 labeled on bottom of unit/ After charging for more than two days in direct sunlight via its photocell, the transmit LED does not light when emulating a transmit activity. The internal lithium battery is obviously not functioning and unit is essentially worthless. DO NOT BUY. I did not see the previous and recent user comments with exactly the same issue. Will try to obtain a refund.

The mark on the product is MAR 11. Cannot sync at all. The internal battery must be dead. I ended up cut it open (very messy because it's sealed) and confirm the seal battery ER14250 is only 0.1V. According to the manufacturer, The battery in the Wireless Solar Sync® Transmitter is designed to operate for the life of the sensor by providing a sealed, maintenance-free design. The seller should not tell the Condition is New. This is just misleading and waste money to buy this junk.
