    Shadow: Five Presidents and the Legacy of Watergate

    I've always been fascinated with politics and political science and have many other books by Bob Woodward. I think this is one of the best he ever did. Having been in college during Watergate this is a fascinating look at how the impact of that has resonated down through the years with others who have held the office. Woodward's book also makes it pretty clear the differences between some of the scandals that impacted the five administrations. Some were simply bad luck and unknown by the President others appear to be a pattern of individuals who simply didn't have a high moral compass. And instead of coming clean on matters, those individuals and their staff's simply dug themselves into a deeper and deeper hole by continuing to cover-up, lie and be more concerned about getting re-elected ...
