    Avery handy addition to the mobile toolbox

    On a number of occasions in the past I have needed to use a soldering iron in difficult locations including at the top of a ladder or within a confined area. I have always thought that a silly little light weight battery soldering iron would be time consuming and useless. In recent months I have been buying a number of Sealey products and found them to be unique and very professional and thought I would give this one a go. Wow!! It heats up in about 20 seconds and gives a very usable tip for many, many applications. I recommend this product 100% for most repair situations.

    Handy must have soldering iron

    Having used this for nearly a month I can truly recommend it. Heats up quickly great for doing the odd bit of delicate pcb work.with gas powered soldering irons you have to be careful with the catalyst not to scorch adjacent components.

    Good value

    Only issue is that it takes time to heat up and the control button need a constant pressure to keep it on so you need to keep one hand on it all the time otherwise it cools down. I appreciate this is either safety or battery related but it does make it less usable. Still better than dragging a cable though!
