      Rubbish product, not varnish or wood stain, just brown paint.

      Don't be mistaken as I was, this product is not varnish, it's brown paint. You can't see the wood or the grain through it at all, it's just brown paint. It's not even slightly transparent. I was expecting a product that gave the same result as using a traditional wood stain followed by a coat of clear varnish, but this couldn't have been farther from that, it's just paint, an unpleasant chocolate brown colour paint. Rubbish, don't waste your time, buy separate stain and varnish.

      Not at all what I expected for a "tint".

      Well I expected a stain. This was very thick, more like paint. Of course I suppose its modern but it made the wood which I had sanded look very different from the part that had been treated with an old fashioned tinted varnish. So I had to remove the small test patch and start again. This looked as if it had been spread with honey.
