    1 TB 7200

    I've just taken out an old 5400rpm western digital and put this Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000 in, and the difference is like night and day. A lot faster and more reliable than my old WD drive, 1 year to the day and the WD has now got errors,hopefully Hitachi will be a lot better.

    Depends on your needs but well worth considering, I wasn't disappointed ..

    Lucky to get this at £41 on ebay. Obviously not as fast as my SSD or 'raptor600gb but at less than one third the price, this is a good, solid and dependable drive which I use for backup purposes, where ultimate speed is not so important. Having said that, it's no slouch.
