Uncomplicated smart heating at a realistic price.
What a fantastic experience! A superlative British made piece of kit! 10 minute simple install, 15 minute configuration and 20 minutes setting up the app! I added a couple of extra Wiser radiator thermostats. Now I can confidently and conveniently control the temperature in individual rooms or the whole system from multiple devices, anywhere I want! When fuel prices are so high this will be a game changer, I've programmed times and zones so that they are only heated when I'm using them rather than heat the whole house! Using voice control adds another dimension, if I'm busy in the kitchen I can simply ask Alexa to boost the hot water, or heating, if needed! Avoid the much more complicated and expensive alternatives unless you have money to burn!What a fantastic experience! Easy to set up
Despite there being no signs of use there were details of a previous user and device details stored within the controller. Once I'd worked out how to factory reset the controller and room thermostat the system started performing perfectly. It was ridiculously easy to install since I already had a compatible controller backplate and is very easy to use. The big test will be over the winter months when I need the central heating on, but the ability to have every room at a different temperature and on a different schedule is so exciting. The app installation and setup was very easy and linked into Google and Home Assistant without a hitch. Drayton Wiser - An absolute game changer for me.
This has been an absolute game changer for me. I've switched my entire heating system over from a Google Nest room thermostat, with Drayton thermostatic radiator valves to a full Drayton Wiser system. The ability to set individual timers and control the temperature in each individual room as and when you require it, is simply the way forward. Set up and ongoing control is very easy, and although it's early days, I suspect it will reduce my heating bills, as I'm not heating rooms when they're not in use. As an example, my wife now works from home, so the attic room requires heating all day. Rather than heat the entire house (Which happens even with thermostatic rad valves) we're only heating that room, with background heat in the hallway and kitchen. At 5 o'clock, the living room ... This has been an absolute game changer for me. It works an absolute treat. If I'm going to be picky, the App, could be a little smarter, like having the ability to copy the schedule from one room to another, but that's a very minor matter. There is also a small amount of noise from the radiator valves when they actuate, but we haven't found that it has disturbed our sleep at all.
