Downgrade to Windows XP
After buying a new computer with Windows 7, I found that my peripherals would no longer work with this operating system: ie printer, scanner, record turntable, and no drivers were available. Therefore a new hard drive was the answer with the windows XP operating system. For it to work properly the hard drive specification in the BIOS had to be changed from AHCI to IDE.
