    Latest Po'Girl CD

    A music afficionado introduced me to their first album, when talking about the "Too Good Tanyas" from whence Trish Klein left off to give us Po'Girl. This latest album is once again a masterpiece of fusion, both of unusual combinations of instruments and of styles. Relaxing after dinner entertainment with a glass of wine or, because of the insistent driving beat behind so many of the tracks, perfect on a good car sound system as you eat up the miles on European or North American Freeways - preferably with long straight empty roads and cruise control. If you enjoy something new - improvisation with a little R&B, C&W, Rap, and Jazz thrown into the pot, you will surely become addicted to this quirky style, in many ways distinctly Canadian.
