Fun to have in your arsenal but it's not a heavy hitter.
Mind Quiz is a strategy game that revolves around the concept of Brain Age. Brain Age is, according to Mind Quiz, the age of brain. The main goal in Mind Quiz is to attempt to achieve a brain age as close as possible to your own age. However, the standard rule is that the younger you rank, the more sharp your brain skills are. Mind Quiz presents brain challenges that test your brain's reflexes, judgement, memory and calculation skills. Each skill area tests in different ways. The Memory category presents challenges in which you have to memorize a sequence of 6-digit numbers, shapes and pictures. You will be given about 3 seconds to memorize these things and then you will have to put them together through your options and controls or select the correct option when presented with four ... The Calculation category presents simple math challenges but the hard part isn't the math so much as it is the time you have to do it. You can spend a lot of time on the calculations but you may run out of time or score horribly by doing so. The key is speed when it comes to calculations. To get an A in the challenge, you would ideally have to respond to the questions within one half of a second to one full second. The Reflex category simply tests your brain's ability to react quickly. You will be given interesting questions that really haven't been asked of you before. My favorite questions are the ones that ask about the game Rock, Paper and Scissors. It will present either a Rock, Paper or Scissors and within a second or less you will have to choose which option will beat the hand that is shown to you. There are other questions as well but those are just my favorite. The judgement challenges are actually fairly difficult. They require a lot of thinking and fast thinking at that. You may have to fill in numbers, find correct paths toward an object, determine which shape is the same as the one presented to you (more difficult than it sounds). Shapes are often composed of 2-3 different shapes with different colors so not only do you have to remember the order of all three shapes and the shape itself but you also have to remember the exact color of each shape. Since they're all in one shape, it can be difficult to memorize in 3 seconds or less. There are different things you can do throughout the game but the basic modes / areas are the following: computer, save/delete computer, brain age test area, training mode area, challenge mode area, trial-exam mode area and the gallery mode area. At the computer you can check your personal details. At the brain age test area you can test your brain age to see if it has improved but you can only do it once a day. Training mode area is where you can take mock questions and choose the skill area you want to improve. It's an open ended thing. Challenge mode area is where you solve questions from "around the world" in an attempt to win awards when you clear all the countries. It's long. Trial exam mode is obviously the same concept as training mode, it's just set up differently. And finally, the gallery mode is where you check your awards. The game itself is sort of 2D and the graphics are anime based. Not a lot going on except questions being asked of you. Music is calming but repetitive. Content is limited. Gameplay is limited. Mind Quiz is a great strategy game to pick up when you want. Doesn't require commitment. Replay value is nonexistent. C+

Not bad, but not addictive either.
I like the idea of practicing the little mental exercises to improve my brain, but I ended up taking this out of my PSP and leaving it out for quite a while. There are so many other things to do and play on the PSP that this one hasn't managed to stay in my rotation. It's very similar to the games that were so popular in 2006 for the GameBoy Advance, so if that's what you are looking for this is a good one. I recommend it, but only to those who know what they are getting.I like the idea of practicing the little mental exercises to improve my brain, but I ended up taking this out of my PSP and leaving it out for quite a while. There are so many other things to do and play on the PSP that this one hasn't managed to stay in my rotation. It's almost what you expect
Game is ok and you can play a few game modes, which includes one that you go aroung the world and just ask simple questions. You also take a test once a day. The game is supper hard just to get a good grade, even when you tell it what type of questions you want, you still get a c+ mainly because its timed. Overall game is ok for what I expected and questions are hard cuz its timed.

This is easy to play and shows you just how sharp your mind is on the day you are playing. Sometimes you just THINK that you are sharp. After you play this game a couple of times, it lets you know for sure if you are as quick thinking that day as you believe you are. There is a very nice 'teacher-coach' with written words of encouragement. It keeps track of your daily scores too. The game uses the O control button sometimes instead of the X so takes a minute to get used to but otherwise I like it.This is easy to play and shows you just how sharp your mind is on the day you are playing. i think it is one of the most entertaining games on psp, because everyday you can have different exams to see how much you improved. i love it because everyday i am getting closer to my actual age :) and with this game you can exercise your brain and stay healty i think,it is very useful, i really recommend this game, you won't be disappointed
