    Enduring Love Story

    I saw this movie years ago and have always enjoyed Danny Thomas and Doris Day. Together, they were fantastic and seemed to bring out each other's best. The fact that it's a biography about an old-time lyricist is mostly what intrigued me. Gus Kahn is someone I had never heard of previously by name until I saw this movie although once I heard them, I remembered his songs. I'm a sucker for a romantic love story which this includes and I loved the fact that even when faced with strong temptation from another singer to have an affair, Danny Thomas' character Gus Kahn passed by not giving in. I had been hoping for years to find a copy of this movie and when the price was right, grabbed it up. It's well worth watching and you may find yourself watching it frequently, every time your spirits need ...
