  • Good book for both beginners and more experienced toy makers.

I bought this book as I wanted to make some small toys for a craft fair and this fits the bill. It has good clear photographs, full size patterns and instructions throughout. The handy hints and advice in the first few pages are very useful and the prettily bordered, frequent one-page stories are quite amusing. The animal characters include: the rabbit, owl, hedgehog, squirrel and harvest mouse families with clothing, accessories - even fancy dress! - and the two pixies. I particularly like the owls, the mice and the rabbits. Some of the patterns seem a little fiddly at first glance, but the instructions are quite detailed.
