    VR DLC

I have Metal Gear Solid(Black Label) for the PS1 seeing as it is almost a must have for Playstation owners, ntm it being rated the #1 PS1 game of all time on countless reviews... I'm confused as to why they needed to make this a standalone, It seems to be a lame attempt at a money grab but I digress... There is a huge amount of content compared to the standard VR missions in MGS but some of the features are a little strange like the fact that the time trial is limited to only like 1 or 2 weapon selections per mission.... meaning all the other weapons are pointless to use unless you are just messing around with them... I would recommend this also for the fact that it can be used to test potential backwards compatibility issues with some PS2 models i.e. the 750001 series as this game wont ...

  • A nice extra while we waited for MGS2

This isn't your normal Metal Gear game. It's basically a training simulation game. It is alot of fun, but can get monotonous after playing for many hours. Its just like the real game, minus the story and environments. Instead of having real world environments, MGSVR has "futuristic" modeled 3-d environments that look like they were programmed on a commodore 64. Which looks kinda cool but also gets annoying. This game basically teaches you how to play MGS games better. There are hundreds of sneaking mission and marksmanship missions. All with enemies you see in MGS1. For the marksmanship missions, you shoot these big "disco" crystals. All the weapons are here from MGS1 and even some new ones. The graphics are good and the controls are familiar. This game is challenging and fun, when you ...

  • Metal Gear Training

To be honest the game is pretty good. Not to mention kind of rare. However, the game is not bad. Although, if you really only care about the story of Metal Gear and not the game play, then don't bother with this one. This game is simple the days of Solid Snake's training. The game mostly focuses on teaching on how to play the game. Meaning, that the game only purpose is to teach people how to play the Metal Gear Solid games (the main games anyway). The game is separated in 4 sections, Sneaking Mode, Weapon Mode, Advanced Mode, and Special Mode. They you you just do "training" with all the elements that make Metal Gear...well...Metal Gear. In conclusion, the game is good. Though there is no real story development for Metal Gear and no impressive environments but if you are a Metal Gear ...

  • good vr

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most successful, and maybe one of the best, PlayStation games ever. These virtual reality missions expand on the training of the special forces unit your character in MGS came from. You, as the Virtual Reality embodiment of Solid Snake of MGS fame, can go through specific training for each of the weapons in MGS, combat simulators, and even a photo shoot. That's right, while you're working through the VR missions (most of which are mini-puzzles), your reward is that you get closer and closer to the game's female characters in a photo session. You can also unlock extra missions, eventually becoming able to play as a ninja.

  • VR MISSIONS REVIEW

This game is a must have for Metal Gear fans. It is a fun game that can be difficult at points and extremely easy in others. Just to be able to challenge yourself (or other) to see what is your best time during each course is awsome. Yet as good as the game sounds, it is still a PS game. Many are now used to the 3-D enviroment and games like this can become more troublesome than what it really is. Another thing that I truly did not like, was your reward at the end of the game. After putting countless hours and exhausting yourself your best times, your reward is a photoshoot of Mei Ling. The ending could have been a lot better. Still the game is awsome, to master the art of stealth and to master every weapon of the game. Very nice concept. Over all if you are a person who likes to challange ...
