Well designed and made little PWM controller (and cheap), perfect for my needs .... BUT listing is incorrect when it says "the adjustable duty cycle ranges from 0% to 100%". Like any other simple PWM circuit based on a 555 timer IC, the max "on" is about 95%. If this is important to you you'll need something more complicated.

    Good value and functionality!

    This is a simple, but very good value, module which allows you to control the speed of a motor, or alternatively, you could use it as a dimmer for a lamp. The quality of components and the assembly is better than expected. A twist switch is incorporated in the potentiometer, meaning power-on and speed control is operated by one knob. In order to use the board with the lower voltage range (3-15V) you must bridge two pads on the board with solder. Please be ware: the pads are quite small, and I had some difficulty soldering a sufficient amount on - it didn't want to stick. I later discovered that significant current must pass through this bridge. My initial solder bridge was too thin and the joint heated up due to high resistance. Make sure you clean these pads well before soldering to ...

    Does what it says on the tin

    There are currently 2 types of cheap PWM controllers on eBay - this one has the advantage of have 4 off M3 screw mounting holes - it also seems to have a wider speed range compared to the other when used with my 3D printers cooling fan.

    Useful as a LED dimmer and does the job for me!

    These are great little pwm controllers. I actually use mine as a DIY 3W LED dimmer which goes with a microscope. I don't get any flickering except on the minimum pot setting. I like that it is small, incorporates an on/off switch into the pot, and is solder-free for connecting input and output wires.

    Good Value

    This isn't better than expected. It is good value for money and it does what its supposed to. I use these devices to control low voltage motors drawing about 300 mA @ 6V. Not suer how well the device would cope at rated current, but then you should never run any cheap electronic device at its full rated output continuously.
