The lens is in good condition and fully working order, fitting and locking securely. The controls work quite smoothly with little play, and the zoom action only slips slightly when pointed up or down. The diaphragm stops down smartly and is free of oil, each setting clicks into position positively and the A lock holds securely. The glass is very clean with no scratches, misting, fungus or other problems, but just some specks of dust and other tiny marks as usual which won't affect the pictures. Cosmetically the lens has a smooth black finish with clear markings and there are just the usual surface scratches, scrapes and minor paint wear (please see our pictures). The instructions are original and complete (in multiple languages including English), the Vivitar front cap is slightly marked, but the rear Asahi (Pentax) one is in good condition and both fit OK. No cracks, splits or deep scratches, the filter thread is undamaged, and overall it's in good shape.”
