The work is truly encyclopedic in scope. Propowicz synthesizes, assesses and summarizes, in a well-divided, Q&A format, the latest scholarship on Lincoln issues and shows how, when you blend all that we (factually) know, it shows Lincoln was a true pragmatist, belonging to no political idealogue's camp. Thanks to the book's division of the subjects, it can almost be read as though it were a life sketch. There is also a section on fun subjects, like supposed new Lincoln photos, the author's choice of best Lincoln impersonator, movies, etc. Generously illustrated with good, relevant photos. A ****!/2 book.
I found this book to be very enjoyable and informative. Much time and effort must have been spend on the research that was done to complete this work. It was written in a very easy to use format and answered many questions about Lincoln.
This is one of the Best books available on Lincoln. As a Lincoln Presenter with a vast library, this one moves to the top of my favorites. Written in simple format, read a little or a bunch! Questions & answers to everyday questions from someone around the facts for 9+ years.Skip
