Super handy
You can't shake the dr brown bottles with the colic straw in its leaks all over the place with the pressure with the hot water. The caps mean you can shake the milk easy and let it cool before placing the straw and teat on.

This lid is a life saver. Only way to make milk in Dr Brown bottles without leaking. I shake vigorously to prepare then milk, let the milk cool before assembling the bottle ie the vent, teat and lid. Best way to make the milk without it becoming powdery.
