This was easy to set up, is relatively quiet (depends on setting), and got great reviews from Consumer Reports. The pre-filter fabric covers are a nice addition to prolong filter life, especially appreciated as filters are expensive. This is the brand used at our ENT's office, which gave it extra appeal. It's also nice-looking and easy to tuck in a corner.

Came in a damaged box and was the wrong color but they responded right away so I gave the benefit of the doubt BUT, after almost 30 days of using it I sent it back. I wiped part of my black glass table off to show the amount of dust collected in a room much smaller than what the advertisement said about room size after about 5 days. See for yourself in the photo below...

Whisper quiet on low. On medium, it is quieter than my old Honeywell on low, Compact size and stylish enough not to hide it in a corner. What really sealed the deal, is that it remembers the fan setting when the power gets shut off so you can plug it into a timer. Filters are a little pricey, but you can get get 3rd party filters (may void the warranty), or get a 15% discount when you "subscribe" to Blue Air filters. Of course you can always stretch the recommended replacement interval. Two (2) year warranty if you register with Blue Air.

Best performance ever! As a life long asthma patient, I have purchased and used various brands of air purifiers over the years. Usually each unit presented pros and cons; however, Blueair is tops in design, air purification, cost saving efficiency and all presented in comfortable quietness. I highly recommend measuring twice and buying once, Blueair!

Overall, I think that it is probably doing a good job. Have only had it for about a week. The room "feels" fresher after the unit has been on high for a while. There are 3 speeds. At high speed, it is rather noisy. At low speed, it is pretty quiet, and I can tolerate it right next to the head of my bed. I purchased it because it had high ratings on Consumer Reports, and it was much less expensive than Amazon. I generally run it on high speed in my great room during the day, and that is tolerable and seems to turn the air over pretty well. At this point, the only thing that doesn't work for me is that it is rather large, and though it only weighs 15-20 pounds, it doesn't have handles or casters, which makes it rather awkward to move from room to room.
