tape good quality.
Using this tape for a month already, very satisfied. At first it looks like its the most expensive tape but in the end the because of its quality and how much is on each roll it is the one of the less expensive one because you don't need to use extra, it is very sticky.

Tape is old & dried out
I estimate the tape from this buyer is 8-9 years old since 2007 was stamped on the carton bottom. Current 3M 371 tube is natural cardboard color...the tape I bought has a yellow cardboard tube. The tape is dried out & requires additional effort to dispense...lots of bubble on tape surface. As the roll winds down, it becomes easier to dispense and the tape surface is free of bubbles. 3M's website says the tape should be used within 18 months.I estimate the tape from this buyer is 8-9 years old since 2007 was stamped on the carton bottom. Do NOT buy this poor excuse for packing tape!!!
This tape came with a Scotch dispenser I bought at Staples a couple of years ago and this tape has been an absolute HEADACHE. What they don't advertise is that Scotch 371 tape is only 1.9 mils thick and as a consequence causes nothing but trouble. It is so thin that it easily rips, folds on itself so it never goes on flat, and flies around and sticks to itself and runs through a good dispenser very erratically. I've had other dispenseers and tapes and NEVER run into these problems. I recommend never buying a tape less than 2.6 mils in thickness. Scotch is very bad about describing the thickness of its packing tapes because, as it turns out most of them are about 2.0 mils or less, which is a laugh. If you look at a Staples brand tape, you will always see the tape thickness printed as part ... I have been a fan of Scotch quality tapes in the past, but their standards appear to have gone down the drain recently.

Thin and flimsey
This product is not typical of 3M Scotch standards. It's about the thickness of tissue paper. I do a lot of shipping and am used to slightly thicker. I don't need heavy duty tape, just substantial and this is not. I am requesting to return these 12 rolls.
