About this product

Product Information

Explore the fantastic world of South Park in this exciting role-playing game. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment in conjunction with South Park Studios, South Park: The Stick of Truth lets players take control of the New Kid, battling against underpants gnomes, Nazi zombies, and other unique foes. The player is joined on their quest by all of their favorite characters from the famed TV series, including Cartman, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, and Butters. This PlayStation 3 version of South Park: Stick of Truth was published by Ubisoft, which also released the game for Xbox 360. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are single-player only and feature a 2.5D, third-person perspective. Upon starting the game, players choose from one of four character types: mage, thief, fighter, and Jew. Each character has its own range of abilities, although all characters can utilize ranged, melee, and magic attacks. The game begins with the New Kid making friends with the local boys, setting off an epic fantasy adventure involving humans, wizards and elves fighting for control of the powerful Stick of Truth. The player’s character is part of the human side of the war, which is led by Wizard King Cartman. Other characters in the group include Kenny, dressed up as a princess, paladin Butters, Clyde the thief, Craig, and Tweak. Making their home in Kupa Keep in Cartman’s backyard, the humans first battle against the Elves, led by High Jew Elf Kyle, who is accompanied by Stan and Jimmy. The game was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and like their television series, South Park: Stick of Truth courted much controversy due to the mature themes and elements. Especially controversial is the game’s use of Nazis, as well as its references to abortion and other divisive subjects. Although the game is rated M for mature due to the adult language and themes, older players will find the tongue-in-cheek humor to be hilarious and fully reminiscent of the TV show. The game features many of the popular trademarks from the series. Players can explore the town of South Park throughout the game, working to unlock cool new areas by completing quests and fighting against various foes through turn-based battles. Arm yourself for battle, joined by one other member of your party. While battling, you can also summon special characters like Mr. Hanky, Jesus, and Mr. Slave, who deliver extra powerful attacks to defeat multiple enemies at once. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of South Park: Stick of Truth were released in March 2014. Designed based on typical fantasy role-playing video games, South Park: Stick of Truth offers hours of enjoyment, as you explore the town and work to customize your character using a huge range of weapons, clothing, and abilities. Take on a range of enemies and battle to take control of the Stick of Truth before it falls into the wrong hands.

  • Hilarious, offensive and awesome! Truly South Park at its best

Well my girlfriend bought the stick of truth about a week ago and it is an awesome game on all fronts. As a South Park lover it pushes the limit yet again and will have you rolling on the floor, so much in fact it is censored just about everywhere except the U.S! (so make sure the version you grab is from America) Not only is it like a giant interactive episode but also is an RPG with nicely customisable player character, armour and weapon combinations. It also has many in game cutscenes and allows you to explore and immerse yourself in the little town of South Park. Overall a fantastic representation of the South Park show in video game form with enough hilariously offensive content to keep any fan entertained!

  • a glimpse into the world of south park

This game is an incredible look into the world of south park. the game is just as funny and at times as disturbing as the show. its strangely addicting and has tons of side missions to entertain for a while after the main story is over. the only down side is that once the main story is over and all the side missions are completed, there is nothing left to do not even an enemy to fight the story pretty much just ends. over all it is an awesome game.

  • The grandkids approved

Purchased for my teenage grandchildren who are huge South Park Fans, and they love it. They played and laughed for hours. They said the graphics and characters were true to the original show, and rolled in laughter at all the character design options. They loved the D&D type play of the game, and they were shouting out which episodes of the show they knew when quotes or items referenced those episodes. I had never watched an episode of the show, and was a bit wide eyed at some content, but knew their parents let them binge watch the shows, so I had to breathe deeply on some things. Their Aunt, my daughter who is 29, thankfully supervised for me. All in all - they loved it, and are begging to come back next weekend to continue playing at my house.
