Indisputably a King - but check the electrical connection to the tender!
A fine representation of the prototype - excellent cosmetically - and offered at a competitive price. Would have got 5 stars had it not been for an initial tendency for very poor intermittent running - sufficiently to make me consider returning it as unsatisfactory. However, the maker's pamphlet drew attention to the need to ensure that the electrical plug connector to the tender was soundly inserted; there was no indication that the plug was loose but I pressed it firmly home and the running became immaculate, improving further with running-in. Teddy was better than billy
I found this Hornby loco King Edward v111, far superior to my Hornby King William 1V which I have had for some years , the detail on this new model is fantastic and it runs well , on both dc and dcc layouts after I put a decoder in , which was also a simple process.
