Product Information

The 2001 edition of 989's well established hockey series features all of the team and roster updates that fans have come to expect from a first-rate line of annual sports titles. Expansion teams from Columbus and Minnesota are available, as are eight international clubs. This version of the game also offers new modes of play, including a practice mode and a shootout mode. The game keeps track of more lines and the line change AI has been improved. Players also have more control over their shots in NHL FaceOff 2001.

    NHL Faceoff 2001 PS1

    This hockey game is fast action fun. For it to be challenging you have to set it to the highest difficulty and even then it can be too easy. Outside of that it plays smoothly and has some improved graphics and animations over the last Faceoff title I played, '99.

    NHL Faceoff 2001 PS1

    We recently inherited a PS1, and the only place to find good games for it is on ebay. My sons love the graphics, but were disappointed to find out that they didn't have as many choices as they do in a more recently made game. They find the play by play a little annoying, but the action is "awesome."

    Great hockey game

    Graphics are not as good as most games now days but the way the game is played makes it fun. Best hockey game on Playstation.
