    good for new style bulbs only i.e. flat lens face.

    its excelent for putting the new style bulbs in the sockets because new bulbs have flat faces. absolutely usless for removing older style bulbs which have raised projections around the edge, you can not get them to seal onto thr bulb surface

    A suitable solution to replacement of GU 10 bulbs.

    I have two lights comprising several Gu 10 bulbs each which were very VERY difficult to remove and put back. In fact I broke one bulb trying to remove it. The suction holder worked well with flat surface LED bulbs but less well with slightly convex halogen bulbs. It will work with both and will save a lot of bother. Why shops sell lights whose bulbs are so difficult to remove can only be guessed. I shall not buy light fittings like this again.

    A useful little tool

    Works quite well both for older GU10 halogen bulbs and also for new LED lights regardless if materials used are glass or plastic; just make sure you are placing the head correctly. Relatively sturdy and seems well made.

    it would not grip the bulb despite the instructions at every attempt , was forced to completely dismantle the entire light fitting,
