My review was initially concerned that Sonos will stop software updates from May 2020. However, this only applies to the first generation Sonos Connects. Mine are new and therefore certified as ‘Modern Praducts’ in my Sonos account and fully supported for however long yet.

These became obsolete years ago, when Sonos superseded them and rolled out out the new S2 system. So you can pick them up for next to nothing. This one was up and running in two to three minutes. Please note that this product qualifies for the Sonos upgrade system. So you can return it and get a discount on the latest gear if you want. I have three and I am very impressed by the sound, compared with much more expensive streamers such as a Bluesound node 2i. I have done back to back testing and am unable to tell the difference.

The Connect is a Sonos legacy unit for Sonos 1. It has been replaced by the Port unit for Sonos 2. The Connect works perfectly on my complex system There is nothing more I can say.
