A very useful purchase to have the uncut episode.
The main reason that I bought this video was that it includes the uncut version of the 1973 Christmas special.On the dvd box set which I have there is something like 4 minutes cut from the episode including many of Harold's lines in the travel agent scene.The reason for the incomplete episode on dvd has not been verified but it could possibly derive from a shortened tape for BBC 2 broadcast.The fact that the complete episode couldn't be used a mere 10 years after being issued on vhs is astounding.Similarly the 1973 Christmas episode is cut by 4 minutes.So not only did the BBC manage to lose most of the master tapes for the 60s episodes and some of the 1970 colour episodes, they also lost 8 minutes from videos they'd previously issued!? As Albert would say: ''Shoemenders!'' or something ...
