Printer appears to be very good build quality. Heavy duty. Rather large compared to former ones I have had. Haven't tried on photos and several other functions yet. Appears to be small office size and build size & weight. Extremely slow to respond to a "print" command from my computer. Uses 2 cartridges only which supposedly are refillable from generic ink cartridge and refill kit supply houses. Cartridges as usual from original manufacturer are extremely expensive. Had slightly over 2 weeks. Time will tell.

+ good looking, + prints fairly fast, + doesn't take up much space. - the thing won't print wireless. No matter what I do it will not respond to my wireless set-up. So, I have the old cord running from printer to computer. This is the 3rd HP Printer I have purchased in the past 6 years. All have been the Home size printers. All have had short life spans. Two had 'printhead' problems. I only use HP Instant Ink. I am retired. I don't use the printers for any business or professional use. Strictly home use. If this one does last for a reasonable length of time I'll find another brand.

the printer arrived 2 days early before expected date, i was surprised. hooked it all up plugged it in and turned it on. it basically set it self up. i turned off the wireless as i don't really need it but if later want to can set that up too. I went to hp downloads and got the drivers for my win 64 bit win-7 system and the printer. the drivers all installed ok but the update didn't work so restarted the printer and it been working fine. I had to read the instructions from HP to figure out how to use this printer as it has a lot more functions then the older ones i have used. so far so good. my sister bought me some 15 lb. printer paper and it was messing up putting out blank pages with finished one when printing on both sides using Microsoft Office, so i went into the setup and changed it to lighter recyclable paper and it worked fine. been long time since i even used a printer but i think they like 20 lb. paper not 15 lb. and that could have been the problem. the paper even felt thinner then normal. so it wasn't the printers fault and there was an option to take care of it. i advise anyone who gets one of these printers to read the instructions. can download the PDF format and keep it on hand. Adobe Acrobat reader is also free to download if need it to read the PDF file. the set up cartridges that came with it have so far printed 3 or 4 color picture pages and around 15 print pages so far and still has ink so they should be plenty till you can get some HP-64 Cartridges for it. i was looking at the HP-64 XL cartridges but i don't think they will fit, gonna have to check on it before spending that kind of money. and i use only HP in an HP printer cause off brand ink and refills are not covered by the warranty. now all i need to get is a printer cover for it to keep the dust and dirt out of it.Read full review

I have looked for this model of HP printer to replace my former HP photo printer but could not find one. When I found it and received it, I was more than happy with the easy of setup and operation. The print, copy and photos are better than my previous HP.

I've owned and set up many HP printers. Their newest procedure, all of the web, makes it very easy. I've only had it a week, so cannot comment on reliability or ink usage yet. The print quality of text documents with some graphics mixed in is very good. Also, there has been no streaking or smudging on the pages. The few photo prints I've tried have also been very good to excellent. The colors have come out a little lighter than the screen colors, though. - not too bad but noticeable. I need to work on that. The utilities that come with are very easy to use and complete. I expect years of good service from this printer

For a refurbished unit, it arrived quickly and was packaged very well. The unit looks brand new, except for very fine scratches on the top. The scratches are barely visible. The unit installed super easy with the HP Smart App. I have tested all the features and it is operating like new. Color output is impressive as is the double sided printing feature. The paper tray is a bit clumsy to remove but the automatic document feeder has tested with over 150 pages without a jam so far. Impressive printer for a SUPER bargain price. I also got a $20 credit towards ink replacements cartridges. Don't think you can go wrong with this refurb printer.

I needed a good home printer and found this one at a good price. I've used HP products before, so I was familiar with their operation. I chose this one because the scanner can take a stack of documents, The print quality is good, and I like the paper "catcher" that automatically extends when the printer is activated.

Seems to be good so far, it prints great photos on the correct paper but uses quite a bit of ink.
