It seems to be the genuine artical
I am using this on 5dsr and works as well LP-E6N (far better than the after market batteries I have tried). I check to see that is was genuine Canon batteries and everything I could on the web said it is. It also charges like the LP-E6N and last about as long.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Batery I received was proably NOT an authentic Canon battery
This item description was for a Canon-branded battery, however, the one I received was probably not. Upon first glance, it looked like a Canon battery, came in authentic-looking Canon packaging, had "Canon" logo molded into the case, the data sticker looked the same as my OEM battery (one that came with my Canon camera). But when I looked closer, I noticed many small differences between them. Also, the battery I received had only about 2/3 the capacity of my OEM Canon battery. I contacted Canon's anti-counterfeit department; they requested photos and other data, and replied with a determination that battery was likely counterfeit. This battery appeared to function ok in my camera, but it's probably not a Canon authentic product as advertised and should have been labeled as an aftermarket battery.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Genuine Canon battery
Although I feel the price is a bit steep on this item, it is a genuine Canon battery, and the price is pretty much standard everywhere you look. I have read too many bad reviews for generic replacement batteries, and given the cost of my camera, don't want to take a chance on a cheaper alternative. Having a second battery for my camera is a must, as I take my camera into the wilderness and camp for days, and I would not be able to charge them until I get back home again. Holds charge but......
