i am a physical therapist and i have attended a few vestibular rehabilitation 1 to 3 day courses and have found that most wouldn't focus on the science behind the topic. unless the physiology of the vestibular system including all the reflexes and how the peripheral is linked to the central nervous system is understood a thorough assessment cannot be completed. This is where this book by Susan Herdman and R clendaniel standsout. This is not a book for someone who just want quick fix tools ... its very comprehensive and clear cut , by the time one finishes reading the book( it will take a lot of reading) one gets a thorough understanding on how to differentiate between a normal and abnormal vestibular system, proper analysis of gait in vestibular hypo function and treatment options including surgical and medical management for the same.
