I had expected an off-cut, and so was very pleased indeed, except that I now have the stress of cutting it shorter to the length I need. This wouldn't have been an issue with an off-cut, but I certainly won't like cutting into such a nice piece of wood. That isn't to say all pieces will be like mine (I'm assuming), but the one I received is very nice indeed.
