The iPad slots firmly into the grooves so it doesn’t fall down. Nice thick material feels substantial. Nice that it has a view hole so the Apple logo shows through

I do find with these that the ridges are not deep enough to stop the screen collapsing, so I always glue a strip of thick card to the front to make it higher (i.e. the ridge deeper) and that does the trick. This is not the seller's fault, but something that needs passing on to the designer.
