      aircraft fuselage repair

      The product was used to repair the fibreglass fuselage of a 20cc model aircraft. the broken pieces were pieced back into place and held with super glue. A quantity of 100 grams of resin / hardener were mixed and applied to the area using a resin brush. The glass cloth was laid over the resin and additional resin worked into the cloth with the brush and finally smoothed off with a plastic card. The repair was left to dry and cure. In approx 5 hours left indoors the resin had gone dry and hardened. There was no noticeable odors during use or curing The on line instructions were good and the repair a success. The mixing pot used was small and after approx 20 mins the pot got hot and started to gel. It would be useful if the instructions indicated what area a 100 gram pot would cover so that ...

      West System Resin for repairs

      It is the resin that I wanted, together with the glass fibre tape and has helped me repair my wooden canoe which had been damaged. setting time satifactory, neither too short or taking too long, finishes good and appears strong enough for the job.

      Actually I have not yet used this batch as the temperature at present is not conducive to proper curing.But the pack looks exactly the same as what I bought 2 months ago locally and paid 2x as much for.
