Should be required reading
Police work is tough... physically and mentally. This book does a good job of breaking down some of the common issues officers and their families face. It is also applicable to military service and that surprised me... I saw many of the described emotional changes in my son who has been in the military for s short time. Having the information and knowing what the cause of some of the emotional changes may be has been very helpful. I sent it to him and he said it impacted his cynicism and has allowed him to interrupt the cycle simply by understanding the root cause and knowing what steps might help him understand he emotions he is facing.
