Excellent Value Over Lowes Store Price!
This Kobalt battery is not only a great battery, but also fresh. The battery I received was just over a month old according to its factory printed build date, so it was very fresh. The dates on Kobalt batteries I have received during past purchases at Lowe's have been one-two years old each time. After a full discharge, it does take twice as long to charge as the 2.5 40V but that is not a problem. Five years from the build date seems to be the average lifespan of these Kobalt lithium batteries so the three-year Lowes warranty is of little value - especially considering the price of this battery at Lowes.
