The design is excellent and easy to use . AS I’m use to this type of tool I was concerned about how robust the rubber sleeve over the handle to remain in place….it did as I thought it might do, the whole of the metal part of the scythe separated from the rubber sleeve, flying of into the bunch of reeds with the rubber sleeve remaining in my hand. simple answer to this problem, a cable tie

Bit difficult to open but this 85 little lady with 17 acres is having a war on bracken almost as high as I am. It cut through it with no problem and the blade shape means that I can hook what I have cut clear at the same time
