Story campaign plays like levels, or in this case missions. The gameplay will test how good you are at completing objectives, you'll want to pay attention most of the time, as radio chatter can give you an idea of what is happening at all times, some of these missions can be difficult if not prepared. Thankfully there are checkpoints, and you can always return to the hanger to modify your plane. There are end mission rankings to keep you coming back to replay for better ranks. S-rank being highest. If you just want to fly and not worry about a story, there is a Free Mode, great for quick sessions. Multiplayer: has a few rooms daily, but not too many players, only game modes available are TDM and FFA, has room options and host migration. max players in a dog fight is 6v6, but you can ... I was hoping the entire campaign would be VR compatible, but it's just a few missions. Still, the VR was exactly what I hoped for and I wasn't disappointed by what's there. The gameplay is super arcade like, but for most of us, that's fine. It creates some very unrealistic situations where you as an A-10 pilot can dogfight with an expert MiG-29 pilot or an advanced drone for a few minutes and win... But it's fun as hell. The story in the campaign mode is complex, compelling, and much longer than any other game of this type that I've played before. The biggest gripe is that this isn't one big open world for you to play in and explore. Granted, I'm of the Jane's simulator era and I loved those over complications sims. Graphics are great. The story is very good. There is a plethora of planes or jet engines. I love the F-14s and F-16s. It reminds me of Top Gun. Haha! Wait there’s There is a but. The upgrade paths can be overwhelming. If you like complexity then this is a great game for you. I enjoyed the whole experience other than the complexity.
