    Very good film

    It's apparently the longest movie at over 4 hours but it is well worth watching . Magpie supplied a disc playing both sides , the original one supplied jammed but they sent a replacement that did play , Might be worth thinking about there are more modern ones available . The story is told from both sides told from the perspective of characters such as Chamberline et al . At 3 days the battle was too long to cover in full detail but is a reasonable history and is in the spirit of the time I think , after reading quite a few histories . Very well made film .

    Gettysburg; simple US view

    The DVD supplied was in great condition and v good value. The content was awful! Lots of mediocre American actors with huge false facial hair being humble and deep, gazing into the distance and making meaningful comments. Probably made for lower secondary school children to explain the Civil War without upsetting anyone, a Disney view of the conflict.

    More like an entertaining documentary than a historically incorrect film.

    well acted, they have chosen actors which resemble the original people, so it's far more realistic than the old Hollywood cobblers of casting people like John Wayne as Gengis Khan and the like coz they are well know actors be no where near reality. The story kept to the historical events and the scenes where just excellent.

    a very good film

    a great film did have a bit of trouble on the second side of disc towards the end it keep freezing and had to take the dvd out and wipe it few times to keep it going
