As Groucho Marx said, he was, give or take a few years, born around the turn of the century. He claimed that he spent his life yearning for the young, but only above the age of consent and only if they do a lot of consenting . Groucho, the most outrageous and voluble of the legendary Marx Brothers, had a life which stretched from vaudeville (he made his professional debut in 1901) to game-show, and took in Hollywood on the way, with such classics as A Night at the Opera and Duck Soup . In this autobiography he records the triumphs and disasters of a life in show business.
