Speed is an anything-goes racing game in which players are rewarded for winning at all costs, even if it means wrecking a teammate's vehicle. Gamers can learn the ropes as they cruise around seven unique circuits in "Time Trial" mode, or they can take on every track and go for the gusto in the championship mode. Each race takes place in specific weather conditions and at a set time of day, and every course has its own intricacies regarding spectators, layout, and difficulty. Players can join one of eight teams, each with elemental names (Team Sun, Team Lava, Team Ocean, etc.) and different stances on racing and combat. If gamers grow tired of racing against the AI, they can also take on a friend in head-to-head split-screen action.
