The eighth feature entry in Konami's premiere survival-horror series continues the traditions of tense exploration and hell-spawned attacks in a disturbing, rural setting, while adding stereoscopic 3D visuals to engulf the player in hazy scenes of pending doom. Set in and around the recurrently creepy town of Silent Hill, Downpour follows an original storyline of a main character with a troubled background. The adventure begins as a prison bus goes off the road in a heavy storm, and convict Murphy Pendleton finds himself, alone and unarmed, in the woods that outskirt the village.<br><br>Many of Downpour's locations may be familiar from earlier adventures, but even players who have survived Silent Hill in the past will explore never-before-seen areas, including a diner, defunct transport tunnels, and an abandoned mine, aptly called the Devil's Pit. The first Silent Hill game produced since Akira Yamaoka left Konami, Downpour's score was composed by Daniel Licht, known for his work on Showtime's macabre serial killer drama, Dexter. The pop-metal band Korn contributes a song to the soundtrack as well.

    Silent hill downpour is fun, spooky and alittle crazy

    Definitely worth the money I spent. Disc was clear of scratches/smudges and case was in a great shape. Gameplay was really fun. Definitely a great game to add to anyone's collection. Zero disc skipping/ audio skipping.

    The scariest Silent Hill yet!

    One of the most frightening, spooky, scariest versions of Silent Hill ever! Everything in this game will have you on the edge of your seat trying to survive this horrific adventure and even if you survive just wait until you meet "The Wheelman" one of the most frightening bosses ever! This game isn't for the weak of heart, and for those who aren't scared, it's best played in the dark! ;-)

    its not bad

    its not the best silent hill but it will suffice. i never finished it before my 360 died but since its backwards compatible i thought id give it another go. graphics aint bad for a 360 game.
