A good emergency fix.
For a one-off repair this kit is ideal and saved me a great deal of cash even just to repair one hole. A new component would have been hundreds of pounds, but with this kit I was able to repair it without reverting to a specialist. Remember, it does only do one specific size of thread.

Triumph TR6
Used a wooden block with tight hole on tap to ensure square entry into hole. Perfect end result curing leak from oil sump stripped thread in aluminium crankshaft sealing block.
