It is the cheapest vice you can possibly imagine. The amount of play is surreal, the main screw has some odd looking spring on it that makes horrible noise with every turn and the base came with casting defect and has only 3 out of 4 mounting holes. Not that it makes any difference, since 3 holes should be more than enough to hold it in place anyway. After all it cost me only £33 and the shipping was free. 10/10, you get what you pay for. China's finest product. I hope it won't break too soon.

Item quality is pretty poor. Sharp edges from moulding still left on and loads of play in vice jaw. Had to strip it to pieces and file/grind off all of the sharp edges. Had to file screw guide part flat so it would tighten down properly and then completely re spray. Basically spent the same again in paint to re paint it. Didn't think people sold items at such a poor quality, guess it's less than £40 for a reason.

    Good vice, good price.

    I am pleased with the vice so far. I have bolted it into place and done some light mild steel work on it. I can't vouch yet for it's durability, but so far so good. At the price, I can't find fault.

    could be stronger

    The worm screw which opens and closes the vice jaws is made from a poor quality metal. I wanted to push a bearing into its housing ( a job I've done many times before on other vices) and the pressure i created using only my hands bent the worm screw.

    Gripping Stuff

    Have yet to fix in a suitable position. The vice is a heavy bit of kit that will provide a good workshop facility for the heavier type of work that crops up.

    looks good and works well

    Works okay lot of play in the mechanism but I suppose that's to be expected with the price tag. I don't use a vice that much so it's nice to have one.
