    Fitted, but only with extra parts.

    I'm a proffessional gas engineer, i bought this for a job to replace a burst one on a Vaillant Turbomax 824e. Whilst i did get it fitted, the brass adaptor supplied is not correct for this boiler. The 3/8" connection on the vessel itself is too short, so it comes with a brass extension, but the male end of this is not 3/8", i'm not sure what it is, it didn't look a standard BSP size. I got round it by buying a 3/8" brass socket and a nipple but you shouldn't have to seeing as it was listed as fitting the boiler i was fitting it to. Also on the original the schrader valve is extended, it isn't on this one so it would be difficult/nigh on impossible to attach a pump onto it should you need to in the future.

    Had some complications

    The multi fit compatibility of this item made it a right pain to get in place of the old vessel. The extension on the vessel adaptor for the water side gets in the way of the bracket on back of the boiler. It took some modification to actually get the vessel into position. Quality washers. Pre charged correctly.

    Good quality replacement part.

    My Vaillant boiler had all the symptoms of a broken expansion vessel, increased pressure, then pressure to zero and started making a funny noise. This is not a genuine Vaillant part but it does the job and well made, same shape but a little shorter inflator valve. It was fitted on the 4th December 2019 and is working absolutely fine. Pressure where it should be. Not a big job, drained the system as a radiator needed also to be replaced, only one nut to remove. Used gripping pliers to pull the old expansion vessel out from the top. A little bit of wiggling around to position fibre washer - but job done. Saved £75 against the cost of a genuine Vaillant part.

    VAILLANT PRESSURE VESSEL

    Not the same as the Original one.Had to modify boiler chassis to get it to fit. Different gap size between inlet pipe and outer rim.what a pain.
